as you can see its quite a harsh landing, well my front wheel is on the landing my back wheel isnt, when i cleared it, it hurt. i thought i'd destroyed my back wheel, luckily i hadnt

alright, hows it going? been out riding lately? did you do the welsh champs? i rode the course after my last run at round 4 of the caersws cup, track was super sweet, apart from the roadgap, i didnt like that, the landing was way to flat! i cant wait for caersws uplift day its gonna be sick. you doing the caersws cup in 2010? theres 5 rounds and its gonna be a different track each round so that means 2 new tracks at caersws being built over winter

i rode the welsh champs track today after my last race run, i dont like it until the tunnel, at the top its too tight and the sides are too thin, i wouldnt want to fall off the side and down the hill

yeahs its the decent-gear unclipped race at moelfre, borderline are running it, will be good. think its the same price as caersws, free camping, entertainment at night, music and booze, like a few quid per can

i cant, on sunday im going to australia for 2 weeks and i get back the tuesday before round 4, and my mum is at work and cant take me on weekdays, your not at round 4 are you? will have to meet up at cwmcarn sometime, and if you go to caersws uplift in october, try to go to moelfre in september, im there

the reason he slid out was probably because he came into it at too much of an angle and hit the loose rocks at the bottom, its best to be as far right as possible when you come into that berm, then start pedaling halfway round it, the jump after it is awesome for some style tho, i can pull some sick feeling table/tweek things off it, dunno if they look good but they feel good

oh yeah i know where you mean, nah thats a push up line, so you can push up, or walk up to the berm, its just after the jump after the big berm. i dont like that big berm, my mate washed out first run down the other day, came into the berm too tightly and his back end went sliding out he slipped round to so his back wheel was straight up the berm then rolled off his bike and almost into a photographer, wish i coulda seen the pic he got

awh damn, thats bad luck, 4th round will be awesome, i cant do welsh champs, but im sure il see you at the october uplift, yeah cwmcarn is good needs some repair work in some places tho i think, some of the jumps need a bit of work done to them, i like the last section from the fireroad to the bottom. yeah il see if i can meet you up cwmcarn sometime, only takes me an hour to get there, but takes me 2 hours 30 mins to get to caersws

£275 and i have just bought a new chain for £20 and i have only had it 3 months

well when you get to where the uplift drops you off follow the other people. when at the top of the start hill theres 2 ways down. if your facing them both the one on the left is the black, it has a super nice top section but i dont like it when it goes into the trees because it has some super tight corners, the top section to the black takes ages to dry, so if its rained in the last 2 days itl be wet up there (but no worries cwmcarn is still grippy in the wet). the one on the right is the red, this then splits aswell, just keep on going over the table top, it does get abit flat when it goes into the trees, once you get to the fireroad after going past the rockgarden just pelt it down the next section cos its totaly flat out, no brakes, also look out for the big double after the bridge drop, go down the bridge round a berm and theres a tabletop or the double, the double is BIG, youl probably case it first try, you must be mad on the pedals to clear it i find.

Na didn't go up today the wind and rain put me off a bit, tomorrow though should be up there a good few hours.

weve all messed up on little jumps, at the local spot with lots of stuff theres this little step down like a 1.5 meter gap but its really smooth cos it lands on this big slope, and i land neqar the bottom but one time i did it and landed it flat which is like a 6foot drop to flat, it hurt haha

we built a fireroad gap which is ace for whipping over and a few other bits and bobs, normally they're jumps that give you quite a bit of air but not really big cos theres lots of stuff up there but i want to build some doubles cos i hate doubles, so i want to get my confidence up on them. havent been to that spot for months tho so will go up there sometime in the summer, the other spot doesnt have that much up there, not alot of jumps just technical tracks cos its really steep

me and my mates do quite alot of building at our local spot, one weve built whole tracks, which is quite a new spot. but at another we just build random jumps cos theres already lots of tracks there

yeah apart from my local track isnt 2.5 hours away haha, most of them take about 45mins to get to them riding, not 2.5 hours in the car, but its worth it for Caersws cos it kicks ass

yeah i've only got a normal car so if i went it'd be pushing up for me

when you go to caersws what do you use to get back to the top? do you have like a 4X4 or something?
